Threads, a Twitter-like program, will be released by Meta.

After placing limits on Twitter in recent weeks, the company that controls Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram will introduce the app on Thursday.

The company that owns Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram, Meta Platforms Inc., is getting ready to introduce Threads, a Twitter-like app.

Users will be able to use the same login and follow the same accounts on Threads as they do on Instagram, which has been dubbed the text-based chat app.

The software has a Twitter-like dashboard in the preview images posted on the Apple App Store, where users may pre-order it.

The app looks to be free and will not have any of the new limitations Twitter has stated.

The App Store description for Threads states, "Threads is where communities come together to discuss everything from the issues you care about now to what'll be trendy tomorrow."

Only days after Twitter's executive chair Elon Musk announced a temporary limit on how many posts users may read on the platform, it is scheduled to debut on Thursday.

Musk also disclosed a number of Twitter limitations, such as the requirement for verification in order to use TweetDeck.
